Unicorn Rocking Horses

This absolutely wonderful 46" high carved unicorn rocking horse was
sculpted by DJ Liccardi, and can be found on the "Rare Breed"
Rocking Horse website at www.djlrarebreed.com

The Enchanted Art Collection

Fantasy Watercolorist, Jessica Galbreth has some unicorn artwork

The Lost Unicorns is an article excellent article by Karkadann with accompanying
illustrations which deals with what the appearance of a unicorn should really

too, it's well illustrated and is dedicated to creatures of myth and legend.

Online Unicorn Colouring Book

Want to have a go at colouring your own Unicorn pictures ? Yes, there is
an online Unicorn colouring book ! It's part of the Awhitehorse.com Arabian
horse website, and it's recently been expanded with even more
pictures to colour by the sites author and artist, Stacey Mayer.

Unicorn Sculptures by Juan Gilberto Hernandez

I was recently sent these pictures and details of these wonderful 6 foot high sculptures
of unicorn heads, carved by an artist in Puerto Rico called Juan Gilberto Hernandez.
Each piece is around six feet high and two feet across, carved from a tree trunk.
It takes the artist many months of work to create these amazing works of art.

Pages of Special Merit

This is where I review pages worthy of special merit each edition.
These are pages I've visited or revisited that have something
unique and original about them, they may really do show that the
author has put a lot of effort into writing and designing the site
or display artwork or stories of exceptional originality.
It's a personal award really, to recognise hard work,
originality, good design or just dedication to Unicorns.

This person and their website gets this issues award for doing what in
my opinion is a wide range of beautiful and original Unicorn images for
a number of years. These can be found on an excellent website decorated
with the artists own unique graphics. This freelance artist has been
doing a range of computer generated artwork which I've often
admired and whose website I keep returning to visit.

This site has not only unicorn artwork, but also artwork of Pegasus,
Dragons and other images that are also more than worth seeing.
There is a also a large variety of delightful animated images

New Websites

As usual there are a number of new sites to look at for this edition
that have been added to the Unicorn links page (which was
moved to a separate page then split into two some time ago).

Mystical Unicorn is a quite wonderful unicorn page with information on
unicorns, a picture gallery, stories and many other things.

The Rainbow Forest, Home of Whisper the Winged Unicorn is another
excellent sie, being a fan site for the "Whisper the winged unicorn" books.
Full of news, information, pictures and many other things too, worth a visit.

The Unicorns Meadow is an excellent site with a lot of historical information
and information on some books and movies concerning unicorns too
as well as the authors own poems and writing, do take a look.

The Unicorn Artisans has pages on unicorns and other mythical creatures
Laura's Unicorn Palace has pictures, poems and facts about unicorns.
In Myths and Reality has a last unicorn page too with images and
songs from the movie as well as pictures and information on unicorns.
Samantha's Glen of Enchantment! has a "The Last Unicorn" dedication
page as well as information about unicorns. Unicorn Gardens
has detailed information on the legend of the unicorn, as
well as historical information, pictures and poems.

Fiordistella Fantasy Page has a page on unicorns as well as dragons
and faeries. Sini's Unicorn Page is a page in both French and German.
Unicorns is another new site that also has a unicorn picture gallery,
Lady Amalthea's Legend of the Unicorns is also new to this list.

Unicorn pictures (where to find them)

There are some sites with large and growing Unicorn picture collections.
There is a site with an excellent unicorn picture collection at Danielle's Unicorn Page,
Unicorn Dreams has a growing collection of pictures, good quality scans too.
Holly's Unicorn Meadow has been recently updated and enlarged,
Theresa Farrell's site has some very good original fantasy artwork in her gallery.
Welcome To Wild Unicorns has an extensive collection, and
Paladin's Last Unicorn Page has a large collection of 'The Last Unicorn' movie images
Both of these are excellent web sites too, Paladins page has a bookstore too.
However, I still think Neysa may have one of the largest collections of unicorn
pictures on the internet, several artists exhibit their work there.

This artist from Uruguay has recently done some wonderful Unicorn drawings.
They are being kindly being hosted by Neysa on her Unicorn picture page.

More Unicorn Pictures

This is one of the first unicorn pictures I've done myself.
Its based on a photograph of a horse I took which
I've reworked. Click on the picture for the full size version.

Another unusual unicorn picture.
These two impressive stone unicorn figures are
on a factory wall in Stafford near my home.
They were erected when the building was
constructed which was sometime around 1937-1938.

I am showing on these pages

This picture, created using Photoshop, was sent to me by Mare Astra
as a self portrait. She is significant for having one of the first Unicorn
websites I ever found on the internet, and her site helped to
inspire the creation of this website over three years ago.

These two pictures were sent to me by an artist called Gennale.
I liked them so much I requested permission to put them
on my page, so here they are. The picture on the left is
called Tatianna, and the one on the right is called Wild.

Content and Originality

Original work is becoming rarer, and certainly should be valued. But too many
websites recently though are copying others ideas and then claiming
sole right to it themselves ! They also often use annoying Java code that
stops the right mouse button from working. It's not easy to review pages
easily for mention on this page or bookmark them when half the
browsers functions have been disabled by unfriendly Java code !
