During my travels I've visited stables in the UK and abroad. Here are some of the places I've been to which I've really enjoyed or been impressed by. I must emphasise that these are my personal opinions and I have NO direct connection with any of these stables in any way. Please contact the stables themselves for more details. International

Briggs Stable, Massachusetts, USA

This excellent stables is 30 minutes south of Boston, MA in the USA and has a long history. I was extremely impressed by how well it was organised and maintained, and the high standard of care given to the horses. It even has a tack shop on the same site.
The stables also has a website as well as an email address.

UK

The Cannock Chase Trekking Centre ADDRESS :- Chase Side Stables, Teddersley Coppice, Penkridge, Stafford, ST19 5RP   PHONE:- 01785 711177

They have some excellent horses, and the riding and scenery on Cannock Chase is marvellous. The stables is well run and the horses are all well cared for by pleasant and helpful staff. They have horses to suit most riding abilities.

They have recently moved from their previous location at Brocton Park Farm. The new location is only a few miles south of there, the entrance is just off the A34 Cannock-Stafford road on the same side as the previous location. The new address and telephone number are shown above.

Devenish Pitt Farm and Stables (BHS Approved)

They have holiday cottages and a Caravan Club CL site. The stables are excellent and well organised.

Hafod Y Llyn Stables

ADDRESS :- Near Nantmor, Beddgelert, Gwynedd, Wales LL55 4YN

I enjoyed a few hours riding here whilst staying at Beddgelert Forest Campsite nearby.
A small friendly yard offering riding in beautiful scenery, catering for a wide range of riding abilities.
